One of our core values is to promote education for students who lack the financial resources to afford our courses. In alignment with this value and our commitment to giving back to the community, the Calgary School of Languages has established the Languages Scholarship Program. This program supports talented students with remarkable academic records, helping them to acquire additional skills and pave their way to a successful future. We award two scholarships annually, with the evaluation criteria for each application as follows:

  • Proof of outstanding academic record

  • Proof of Canadian residency or be a Canadian citizenship

  • For minors, a written and signed authorization from their parent(s) or legal guardian(s)

  • Proof of low income from the student or their parents

  • A personal statement from the student, explaining their suitability for the scholarship and the course they are applying for.

Applications will be reviewed by our board of directors and two academy teachers. Selected students will receive a letter detailing their selection for a specific course, the next steps, the scholarship duration, and the delivery method.

Please note that books and other study materials will not be provided by the school.

I enrolled in French classes, and it was very flexible with my schedule, and I had a teacher come to my place to teach me, she was an excellent instructor!

I came from Japan to Calgary to learn English and enrolled in English classes with the CSL. I saw a huge improvement in my language skills and am now capable of communicating effectively in English.
